ELECTRONICS REMINDER 📱🕹️

One of the great benefits of heading out on any of our trips is that we’re able to unplug from our digital world for a few days. Electronics are allowed while traveling to our destinations, but we have a longstanding rule that Scouts are not allowed to use electronics while on our trips (i.e. if brought they’ll be left in vehicles and not used during the trip).

ITINERARY

We’ll meet at and leave from the Publix on S Royal Oaks in Franklin (, ).

🌊 Get Ready to Tackle the Ocoee River!

Scouts, pack your gear and get ready—we’re heading to East Tennessee for the Full Ocoee River Experience with Outland Expeditions! This isn't just a basic float trip; we are tackling 10 miles and over 20 named Class III & IV rapids in a single, action-packed day.

💥 What We’re Running

SECTION 1: Upper Ocoee (The Olympic Course) | | • 1996 Atlanta Games course—fast, narrow, and intense | | • Signature Drops: Godzilla, Slam Dunk, Humongous SECTION 2: Middle Ocoee (Classic Whitewater Run) | | • 5 miles through Cherokee National Forest | | • Signature Drops: Table Saw, Broken Nose, Hell's Hole

⚡ Why This Trip Is Going to Be Epic

You’re Paddling an Olympic Course: The Upper Ocoee was custom-built for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. You'll be dropping into the exact same whitewater as world-class athletes.
Real Teamwork Required: You can't be a passenger here. Every boat needs synchronized paddle power, quick reflexes, and strong communication from the whole patrol to smash through giant hydraulics.
Six Hours on the Water: Most groups only do one section and call it a day. We are doing both back-to-back, with a full riverside lunch provided in between to recharge.
Warm Showers at Takeout: Once we finish conquering the river, Outland Expeditions has warm showers and changing rooms waiting at the outpost so we can gear down before head back.
