Saturday: We will drive to the Ascalon Trailhead (, ), and shuttle at least one car into the park (~6 mile drive) before hiking down the Cloudland Connector Trail and “Can’t Hardly Trail” to backcountry site #5. (~6 miles)Sunday: We’ll hike up into the main park to see 2 overlooks (~3 miles) before heading back to the shuttled car where we’ll shuttle the cars from Ascalon Trailhead and then head back home.

ELECTRONICS REMINDER 📱🕹️
One of the great benefits of heading out on any of our trips is that we’re able to unplug from our digital world for a few days. Electronics are allowed while traveling to our destinations, but we have a longstanding rule that Scouts are not allowed to use electronics while on our trips (i.e. if brought they’ll be left in vehicles and not used during the trip).
ITINERARY
We’re trying a new park for this one - Cloudland Canyon in Georgia. We’ll hike in from the north on the Cloudland Connector Trail to our site in their backcountry loop on Saturday, and hike to a nearby overlook on Sunday before heading back.
Max of 12 people (starting with 7 Scouts, 3 Adults, will adjust from there). UPDATE: We’ve reserved an additional site so while we’ll hike together we’ll camp in 2 different sites (relatively nearby each other).

The Day 2 route is a partial route from our campsite to the overlook. After hiking to the overlook we’ll follow the same route back to the BC loop and then cut down to the parking area.
