ELECTRONICS REMINDER 📱🕹️
One of the great benefits of heading out on any of our trips is that we’re able to unplug from our digital world for a few days. Electronics are allowed while traveling to our destinations, but we have a longstanding rule that Scouts are not allowed to use electronics while on our trips (i.e. if brought they’ll be left in vehicles and not used during the trip).
ITINERARY
We’ll meet at and leave from the Publix on S Royal Oaks in Franklin (, ) at 6:30am on Saturday 12/13/2025.
We will leave the Publix on Royal Oaks by 6:30am and have a 3 hour drive to the Honey Creek Trail Head. The trail is roughly 5.7 miles with very technical terrain. On the trail we will climb the Honey Creek Overlook to see the overview of the Big South Fork Cumberland River. There are many interesting rock formations and waterfalls along the way.
This is a trek with technical challenges - While the mileage is lower for this trek, given the terrain of the Honey Creek Loop, it poses some technical challenges. Older scouts will need to teach any younger scouts how to navigate through some of these challenges to continue the skill set for the troop.
