ELECTRONICS REMINDER 📱🕹️

One of the great benefits of heading out on any of our trips is that we’re able to unplug from our digital world for a few days. Electronics are allowed while traveling to our destinations, but we have a longstanding rule that Scouts are not allowed to use electronics while on our trips (i.e. if brought they’ll be left in vehicles and not used during the trip).

We’ll meet at and leave from the Publix on S Royal Oaks in Franklin (

We have a reservation at the Stagecoach Rd Campground Group site. Crews can decide from the following 3 routes to get there:

Hike in from Savage Gulf North (Stone Door): this is a challenging hike in, 7-8 miles with ~1800 feet of elevation change each way.

Hike in from Savage Gulf South (Collins): this is a challenging hike in, 7-8 miles with ~1500 feet of elevation change each way

Hike in from Savage Gulf East (Savage Falls): this is a moderate hike in, 5-6 miles with ~800 feet of elevation change each way.

Each crew will hike together on their own/at their own pace, although all 3 crews will be camping in the same campsite.
